Detail photos are a perfect place to put all meaningful items into one flat lay summarizing your day. This can be invites, florals, perfume, shoes, etc. This is also the perfect place to add items that point towards Him. For example, a rosary can be in your flatlay, or even tied into your bouquet. You can use a prayer card of your patron saint, or even get a bible verse engrained on your ring.
Often, at receptions, the couples have small gifts for the guests. A simple way to integrate your faith is to have prayer cards, so guests can pray for you as a couple. I’ve also seen couples name special drinks after saints that are important to them.
3. A holy hour before rehearsal:
This is a great way to invite your family and bridal party to prepare for this sacrament with you and to pray for you as a couple.
4. Flowers to Mary:
Of course, the wedding Mass is a way of uniting with Christ in the sacrament. Something that couples have the option to add into their mass is bringing flowers to Mary. This is the couple asking for Mary’s intercession and aid in their spousal love.
5. Finishing a consecration on your wedding day:
To prepare for your wedding, you can pray a consecration together. This marriage is an answer to so many prayers, so what better way to enter the sacrament than by consecrating the both of you to Mary or St. Joseph in thanksgiving?
It is only through God’s great love that the two of you are entering this sacrament. Through these tips, you can honor Him in all parts of your day, uniquely and intentionally.
6. Prayers over bride and groom:
Another way to add intentional prayer time in your day is to have your family or wedding party pray over you. This creates moments of calm and serenity before entering the church.
